In choosing a facial skin care products, the first thing to do is ask what type of skin you have, whether it's oily skin or dry skin, and if you have special problems. Then you need to decide what your budget is. The cost of skin treatments varies widely, so first decide on your budget - there's something for everyone.

Here are some of the more exclusive facial products:

  • Babor - The Babor product line includes skin cleansers, eye creams, High Skin Refiner, and Babor For Men. There are also skin care systems including Gold Advanced Biogen and Gold Calming Sensitive. The Babor line also includes anti-aging products such as wrinkle fillers, moisturizers - even a jetlag cream. There are also creams with things like vitamin C. Prices range from $20 to $100, depending on the skin product.
  • Kinerase - The Kinerase line says it is designed to counteract skin aging, sun damage, blotchiness and roughness. Ingredients that are added to Kinerase products include C peptides, vitamins, and exfoliating ingredients that will cause peeling to reveal younger skin. There are also rejuvenating skin creams. The Kinerase line generally starts at under $100. Products are also said to be hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.

There are also more affordable facial skin care products. Some include:

Nivea - The Nivea line includes cleansers, toners and creams for different skin types.

Neutrogena - Neutrogena products range from sun protection to acne products, and include anti-aging products, as well as products for men. There are also products for special conditions such as acne. Prices are generally under $20.

There are many more skin care products. Is one better than the other? It really is a personal preference. Many women and men get great results from inexpensive lines. Others prefer to spend more if it makes them feel they are getting top quality. Keep in mind that no cream or lotion will give you the dramatic results of facial cosmetic surgery, no matter what they promise.

Whatever facial skin care products you use, make sure you clean your face gently twice a day, apply a moisturizer that's right for your skin type, and never go to sleep with make-up on. Following a healthy diet is also important.
